"Still some learning to do from previous..."

About: Lime Square Medical Centre

I needed to access GP services after a recent emergency admission to hospital resulting in an operation. I called 3 times - each time being told that there were no appointments and to call back the next day. On the third call I was offered a telephone consultation which I accepted. This was for the following Monday. A doctor contacted me. They were brash and asked me what I wanted. I relayed my recent episode in hospital and explained that they should be in possession of a discharge summary. They said they were but relayed the wrong injury to me and the wrong outcome. I then went on to say that because of the delay in appointment I had to increase my existing pain medications. Whilst I appreciate this is unorthodox, I felt I had no other choice as my pain was significant. The conversation became more confusing when the doctor said that I had been discharged on a number of medications which in fact had been long term drugs, not newly prescribed. When I pointed this out and tried to explain the situation, I was told 'just hurry up'. This happened twice. I'd stayed calm all way through this disjointed consultation but then saw red. I carried on to explain another issue and was again told to 'hurry up'.

This clinician has no regard for patients. I'm articulate but have a stammer. I was appalled by the disregard for this.
