"My Mother's Palliative Care"

About: Ian Charles Community Hospital / Palliative Care

(as a relative),

My mother was diagnosed with a terminal cancer some 8 weeks ago.   She spent the past 5 weeks of her life in Ian Charles where she found the best of care.   She died two weeks ago.   Whilst in the hospital she received kindness warmth and understanding which was extended to my father and the rest of my family.   Although this was primarily medically driven the cups of tea and the constant vigil went beyond the call of duty.   To all of the staff at Ian Charles we thank you.

Dear No2Son

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your message on Care Opinion. I must first send you my condolences for the loss of your mother and hope that you and your family are managing at this sad time. We really appreciate you spending the time to give us this feedback. I am so pleased to hear about the kindness and high level of care she received and that you and your family were made to feel welcome and were also cared for - cups of tea are always welcome! I will certainly ensure that the staff in Ian Charles receive this feedback as well.

Best Wishes Chrissie
