Following a previous experience having my son (within a different Trust) I was very anxious about going into labour and absolutely fretting about this.
I voiced my concerns to my midwife whom I saw on B5 at the QAH and throughout not only did she reassure me but it felt like she really listened and could empathise, whilst remaining thoroughly professional throughout.
When labour started it was a very quick process lasting approx 2hrs 15 from start to end. The midwife on the labour line was fab, warned off B8 that I was coming and close to having baby. From start to finish on B8 I was looked after by an absolutely outstanding team of midwifes who truly looked after us from start to finish, listened to us, kept us informed at each stage and reassured us throughout. This resulted in not only a safe, professional and efficient delivery of our daughter but also in allowing me (us) to have a really positive experience, completely converse to the previous time elsewhere.
Thank you so much to the whole team, absolutely outstanding xxx
