What I liked
The service and staff were excellent, I originally checked in for an overnight stay and was told I was first on the list for that day's operations. While waiting, I was put into a single person side-room like I'd requested (for privacy reasons).
After I woke up and returned to my room, the nurses kept making regular check-ups on my blood-pressure and temperature, and the food was delicious. I also liked the fact one could choose what they wanted from the menus, and one nurse kept bringing tea and coffee for the patients regularly.
I had some cheese, potato and onion pie with mashed potato and carrots, followed by some rice pudding and they gave me a little pack of shortbread biscuits as an extra. Later my supper was shepherd's pie, with a little extra mashed potato and green beans, followed by some lemon mousse.
I recovered much faster than everyone thought and was discharged earlier than planned by my request (and my mum's), but the hospital staff did send me home with a spare dressing and some pain-killers.
What could be improved
The televisions could use some kind of teletext service, a program guide or some kind of related information on the shows so patients can see what they're watching.
Anything else?
I nearly missed my supper as I wasn't on the list of those having dinner.
"My stay was excellent as was the service provided..."
