I was recently diagnosed by, treated, and cared for by the wonderful staff at the breast care unit at the QE in Gateshead. The levels of expertise, professionalism, and pure humanity were overwhelming. I took great comfort in the reassurance of the nurses and doctors given to me and my family at every stage of my treatment for cancer. Special mention must go to the breast care nurse specialist, and the consultant surgeon who together gave me the strength to meet this difficult ordeal. My gratitude will go out to them forever. Please pass on my everlasting thanks to everyone, including those at the Peter Smith Surgery Centre.
