I went to Solihull Hospital at 1.30am with excruciating pain on my left big toe. I thought this was as a result of my trek to Snowdonia from 2 days before. The receptionist took a note of my symptoms and asked me to wait. In less than 10 minutes, I was seen by a nurse. After a brief examination, I was told that it was most likely Gout. The nurse told me that she would have my left toe x-rayed just as a precaution. In another 10 minutes, I had my toe x-rayed. And after a final 10 minutes, I met the same nurse again who gave me some powerful painkillers.
I was quite amazed by the quick response from all the staff (nurse, x-ray tech, etc.)
By around 2am I was out and headed home. Whilst the pain still remained, the tips from the nurse and the powerful painkillers helped immensely.
Thank you for being so quick and professional.
"Excellent service at the Minor Injuries Unit"
