"short stay"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital / Breast surgery

On coming into hospital in april and even before and after the care was excellent.

I was in hospital for 3 days . First after my operation I was sent to the dayward were the I was looked after very well and all so caring. Unfortunately I was then rushed back to the theatre as I had complication and it was so wonderful that the staff nurse held my hand all the way back to theartre. Then I believe I then was sent to ward 15 or 17 not sure which and again I could not have had any better care. So thankyou everyone that was involved including all the operating staff including the doctor who had just arrived home that evening after I expect a busy day to turn round and head back to the hospital. Without all of them I might not have been here today. I am now fully recovered and will always be so grateful to everyone.

Afterv6 weeks checkup was dicharged from outpatient will just have to return once a year for a mama gram.

Im now able to led a normal life and am able to see my 3 year granddaughter grow up hopefully for many years to come.

Thank you for your kind comments and we are pleased to hear you are now fully recovered and discharged after your surgery.

Sorry to hear you had to be rushed back to theatre and I’m sure this must have been a very anxious time for you and your family, but it was nice to hear you felt supported by the staff nurse holding your hand and the care and dedication from the rest of the team looking after you.

I will make sure your experience is shared with all those who were involved in your care as I’m sure they would all like to know you’ve made a good recovery.

Regards

Patient Engagement Team
