"2016 / 2017 Rowan ward and labour ward"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Maternity

My first birth was okay being induced in Rowan ward was a nightmare , mixed rooms of ladies with babies in beds next to ladies being induced ( how could anyone sleep ) , staff messed up a pain killer injection told me to stay in bed I got up needing the loo looked in the bathroom mirror and was horrified to see a blood trail down to my ankle from it , light wasn't even turned on to see my show so don't believe it was checked properly , giving birth downstairs in labour ward was perfect including staff , going back upstairs to Rowan ward was back to hell ! As a first time mum I had no idea what to do, I was told I couldn't express and give formula was basically being forced to breastfeed when I didn't feel comfortable nor did i think she was drinking on the fourth day of not being listened to she was 14 on there scale of 20 of being dehydrated I blamed myself should of listened to none of them, was being mocked by staff for still being there too discharged myself no interaction in shift swaps meaning you had to know your own antibiotics times also no avavike water at times thus was 2016 , second child 2017 labour ward was good again really friendly midwife was a little odd refused to hold my leg and was too busy with her notes refused half the time to get off seat but all went well refused to go in Rowan ward because of first time but staff were amazing and made sure all my checks were down downstairs so I could leave without going upstairs, having thrid hopefully will be able to avoid Rowan ward at all costs., scans are still nightmares so behind schedule getting same excuses as 2016 you'd think they'd of sorted it by now staff really blunt but better than 2016
