"Paediatric IBD clinic"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

My 14 year old son was diagnosed with Crohns Disease following a period of severe illness in June.

From our initial visit to A and E through to diagnosis our care has been exemplary!!

The support the IBD clinic nurses Lee, Lisa and Vikki have given our family has been nothing short of AMAZING!! Not once have i felt alone or adrift on the path they have always been at the end of the phone or an email away to reassure and calm us!

Dr Hansen (paediatric gastroenterologist) is an amazing inspiring yet approachable guy who's care for my son has been unbeatable!

Our family wish to say a HUGE thankyou to the Dieticians, Vikki,Lisa and Lee and Dr Hansen for making this journey less frightening than it felt!

We cherish our NHS and will fight tooth and nail for it to remain full of phenomenal people who make a phenomenal difference every single day!!

Once again thankyou all and keep on shining!!

Dear Tdm,

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us what a difference our IBD team have made to your son's health.

It is always so gratifying to hear how our staff go the extra mile to support our children, young people and their families. Lee, Lisa, Vikki, Dr Hansen and the wider IBD team will all be delighted to read your feedback. We will also take this opportunity to add in our thanks also.

We are continuously looking to improve services and we love to hear what our young people's thoughts are on the specific aspects of what went well, so we can replicate this in other areas. If your son would be willing to have a chat (phone or email) with our Patient Services Team, please do ask him to get in touch: coral.brady@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

I wish your son all the very best for his future health.

Best wishes

Coral
