"Confused about what to do"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I initially attended a and because of worsening abdominal pain and nausea, having been told by my gp that if still symptomatic 2 days earlier that i should go to a and e,  i tried to manage over the weekend, however by monday evening the nausea/ pain had become worse, only to be told by a and e i needed to go back to gp to get referred on. Went back to gp this morning, as nausea has become really bad together with distended abdomen.  Gp then said i should go back to a and e,  if symptoms still do not settle.

Now feeling confused about what to do, feel as if i am going round in circles as gp keeps saying i should attend a and e and a and e keep referring me to gp.  The abdo pain and nausea is now very severe,  would like someone to take responsibility and investigate further please.

Many thanks for your help

Dear runningsarah

I am sorry for the delay in responding and I am very sorry about the confusion.

Would you mind emailing the Medical Chief Nurse on mailto:Nicola.shopland@nhs.net and she will be able to assist you.

Once again please accept my apologies and I do hope that you are well.

Ben
