I twisted my foot whilst on holiday in Devon and experienced a really sharp pain in my foot which swelled up almost immediately.
After limping back to the car and going back to our Caravan, the pain was so bad that I had to leave my shoes off to avoid the pain.
Anyway, we had to get home and got the caravan all packed up and headed home still with some pain in my foot!
The next 2 days at home, my foot changed colour to black and all the symptoms said that I had most likely broken it, but I still thought that it was just a sprain.
I decided to do the right thing and get it checked out at the local Minor Injury Clinic in Gosport.
Opened at 8am, 2nd in the queue and seen almost immediately.
A quick X Ray, no waiting and it was confirmed, broken 5th Metatarsal fracture!
Supportive Boot supplied and fitted and I was away with a full description of my injury and what to do.
No return visit needed and all done so quickly and efficiently.
This is what I expect to get from the NHS.
Great to see that it is possible to get a great service and even better that it's local.
Well done War Memorial Minor Injury Clinic!!
