"My experience this week"

I have been a patient at this surgery since 1960 and have seen the same doctor for the last 20 years when he successfully diagnosed my prostate cancer when it was in it's early stages. In my opinion saving my life.

Having problems with COPD for some time I made an appointment to see the doctor on Thursday of this week. The day before my proposed motor cycle tour of Scotland. However, over the weekend I experienced breathing problems and a really bad cough.

I telephoned the surgery at 8am on Monday hoping to bring my appointment forward. The result was an appointment at 0930. The receptionist obviously trained to recognize my distress.

I had a good consultation with the doctor and by 10.30 also had a blood test and an ECG. All at the surgery and within an hour of arriving.

I consider this to be excellent service.

In all my time with this practice I have found the staff to be very pleasant, professional and respectful. Obviously able to come up with the goods when required.

I have another appointment on Thursday after which I hope to be making my way to the cooler climes of Scotland.
