"My partner was 11 days over due when she went into..."

About: Princess Anne Hospital

What I liked

My partner was 11 days over due when she went into labour. On arriving at the hospital at 8:30pm we were quickly shown to her room on the labour ward and advised that a midwife would come and assess my partner shortley, 30 mins later our door opened and in came the community midwife that had seen us throughout the pregenancy. As my partner had a difficult labour with our first child she was anxious about giving birth for a second time and had discussed this with our midwife throughout and a birth plan had been put together to try and help avoid any of the issues experienced first time around.

The labour went very well and our second son was born early the next morning.

Our praise is fully and totally with our midwife, who made an anxious time better, who guiding my partner through the labour and delivered our son with none of the complications we had previously experienced. She is an inspirational midwife and really made this labour so much easier, happier and straight forward. She also managed to change my partners view on giving birth from a scary, unhappy, painful one to one of that is now positive and for that I cannot thank her enough.

What could be improved

Nothing, Really good service, care and staff attitude from all encountered
