I received excellent care at the above department when I went in for an endoscopy. It's easy for people to be negative about the NHS, but the staff I've met and continue to meet, are some of the most pleasant and caring people I've ever had the pleasure to cross paths with.
I lived in the US for nearly 2 years and when you have to pay $1,700 a month for cover, with very high excesses, you suddenly realise how lucky we are to have a National Health Service.
Aside form this, the care I received was second to none. To find the balance between compassion, caring, humour and professionalism is no mean feat, but the team that looked after me found it, perfectly. THANK YOU for being a great bunch of people and for using your working day to care for others. We do appreciate it, even if we don't all say it :-)
