"Visit to Emergency Department with my grandson"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a relative),

My three year old grandson fell down a flight of stairs and hurt his face. We took him to the Emergency Department at FVRH where he was seen by a great nurse who calmed him and relaxed him and my daughter too who was quite worried at the time, which is only natural. He was then seen by Dr Alcock,

Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Paediatric EM, who was absolutely amazing with him, he did not rush his examination of my grandson and he did a good thorough examination treating him like a little superhero as he had his spiderman outfit on. The interaction between doctor and patient was amazing and my grandson left the emergency department thinking he was going home to have special spiderman medicine which would make him much better. This worked a treat as he took his medicine which is something he does not like doing.

Thanks to the Emergency Department for the great work they do.

Dear Iscafc,

many thanks for taking the time to post about your recent experience in our Emergency Department. I will ensure staff are made aware of your nice comments and I hope your Grandson is now on the mend.
