After attending a family barbeque and playing a silly game with my niece I unfortunately fell onto a glass resulting in a very deep cut in a ' sensitive' area ie my derriare'
I was most embarrassed having to attend the urgent care centre at 9.30pm on a Saturday evening (21 July 2018), and I must admit I had had one or two glasses of fizz.
However I was treated with respect throughout the process, being seen quite promptly, sent for an X-ray to ensure there were not slithers of glass in the cut and fortunately there were none.
I was then stitched up (very neatly) I must say and the wound dressed.
I was given precise information on what to do if I felt unwell which could be an indication of infection, and contacting my GP to have the stitches removed.
Unfortunately I do not know the two members of staff who attended to me, but they were fantastic and can't thank them enough for their care.
The NHS as a whole is a fantastic organisation.
