"No explainations"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency

I attended casualty in April and was told I may have unstable angina after an rapt tack and given meds and told I would be sent for tests. 10/11week later after no tests I have another attack and end up in casualty. They had not referred me for more tests so sent me to see a cardiologist the day after (Over 2 weeks ago)

He informed me he would be referring me for a heart scan and to call in two weeks if I have heard nothing. Two weeks later I have heard nothing and have just spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to get through to cardiology.

This is a joke.

Thank you for the feedback and please accept my apology for the unsatisfactory experience of our services.

From your description of events I was disappointed to learn we appear to have let slip the opportunity to refer you.

I do regret that your reported experience has not been to the standard we expect. I have shared your comments with the Oldham Care Organisation’s senior leadership team to consider.

Should your concerns remain outstanding or you remain dissatisfied with that experience please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at your earliest opportunity on telephone 0161 604 5897, or email: pals@pat.nhs.uk quoting that you had been advised to do so via NHS Choices, and they will do our best to address your concerns.

We value your comments, as it helps us to continuously improve our service.

Regards,

Head of Patient Experience
