My father in law was treated in ICU and got fantastic care, the nurses were wonderful.
He was transferred onto a standard ward though - and care has been a nightmare. Patient dignity doesn't seem to register with the nursing staff and the food is poor.
Today, he was told he couldn't have an urgent scan because it was too close to 5pm and the staff wanted to leave on time. Luckily, my mother in law is there to protect his interests because no one else seems to be interested.
