"Antenatal ward / delivery suite"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees / Maternity care

As a new grandparent I cannot praise the maternity team enough, my daughter was admitted to have labour induced on 12/02/18. From 8 .30 that evening until she gave birth via emergency caesarean section she had one to one midwifery care which entailed the midwife monitoring her on the ward, transferring with her to the delivery suite and transferring her back to the ward and not once taking a well deserved break. My daughter was able to build up a rapport with the midwife and this made a traumatic section much less worrying for my daughter.

She would like to say a special thanks to the midwifes on duty that night and thank you for all the support and reassurance you gave her.

Special thanks also to the team in theatre who all introduced themselves to her and explained what was happening during every step of her surgery.
