"A new journey without drugs and alcohol."

About: Galavale House / East/West Brigs Ward

(as the patient),

I was at the orchard clinic, Edinburgh then at East Briggs to start a new journey without drugs and alcohol.

I used amphetamines on an almost impossible scale of quantity, it was to just feel good but doing things at the Briggs like relaxation and participating in groups I felt better and better. I now see why drugs have a negative stigma and not just that you can never know the purity and with certain dealers they can mix it with all sorts.

It's now been four years since and I can honestly tell you I'm as well as I ever could of been without substances. Overall i'm not sure what rehab was going to do but the confidence I have from just a wee quiet 1-2-1 can even help. Maybe not see it right away but when you look back.

So all in all i'm satisfied with the briggs.
