"Completely pointless"

About: Barnet Hospital / Accident and emergency

I went with one week’s worth of strong nausea, imbalance, vertigo, searing headaches, stomach tenderness, weakness in the body and more. I was then told that I was dehydrated even though none of my results show I was dehydrated, and that I probably have low blood pressure even though my blood pressure is normal (this is exactly what the doctor told me, I kid you not). I was then told to drink more water and take paracetamol. Of which neither had helped me thus far. The doctor was patronising of me, almost seeming as though he were looking at a child when I voiced my concerns and symptoms thus far. He didn’t check my body or for any ear infection, only checked my blood pressure and urine. No blood test and no reasonable advice to get to an answer. Although the wait was pleasantly shorter than I’m used to (2hrs and a half), it wasn’t worth it when nothing had been found out and nothing was done to ease my symptoms (of which I have continued to have for a further week!). I am disappointed and angry and won’t be coming back for A&E.

Hello

Thank you for taking time to leave a review, I am sorry you have had a wait for this response.

The feedback you give is not what we want to read from patients and I am sorry the visit made you feel this way.

I hope your symptoms are better, if not please seek medical advice, even if this means re-presenting yourself at the ED.

With Kind Regards

Richard
