I am generally satisfied with the service by the doctors themselves.
Reception, however, is usually very unfriendly and often even disrespectful - both in person and on the phone.
I don't feel like the health of patients is of any matter to them. I understand that it is a busy surgery, but nevertheless respect should be shown to patients, especially if they come in or call in when they are already feeling unwell.
I rarely get appointments within less than 2-3 weeks from the time I call, even if it is about a more serious matter.
Last year I was denied a blood test because 'no nurses were available for 3 weeks'.
Once I was even turned away because I showed up 5 minutes later than the arranged appointment, when I normally wait up to 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor.
Most problematically, I have had issues with repeat prescriptions, which have been denied to me because 'a review appointment was needed' - the review appointment was then given 2 weeks later, when I would already have run out of medication.
Overall, I have been very disappointed and wanted to state my concerns here, hoping that they will be considered.
