About: NHS Fife Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Day surgery procedure. Had to wait 5 hours before being taken to theatre which was stressful and probably unnecessary with better admin planning.

Staff in unit absolutely outstanding. Caring, friendly and attentive.

Dear David R

Thank you for posting feedback in Care Opinion about your recent visit to the Day Surgery Unit, I'm glad to see that you found the staff in the unit to be outstanding, caring, friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately the timing of admissions is given to allow for any cancellations, patients who don't arrive and unexpected changes. This results in some patient's waiting a longer time for surgery and can be stressful for some patient's. I'm sorry this turned out to be the case for yourself, I hope the caring friendly staff were able to support you during that time.
