"Appointments never available...."

About: The Brockley Road Surgery

After trying for over a week to get an appointment online, called and was told they simply have no appointments available at any time whatsoever.

The one time with was able to see a doctor felt completely dismissed, like he was trying to get me out the room as quick as possible. This after waiting 30mins after my scheduled appointment.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologise you have had trouble getting an appointment the majority of appointments are booked up online and are available 24hrs a day of which you can book up to six weeks in advance ,there are also a limited amount of appointments released daily for 48hrs ,1 week and 2 weeks in advance . We are trying to improve the system all the time however there is a recruitment and retention crisis. The reasons are poor working conditions and reduced pay and pensions. The practice also offers appointments at the GP extended service which are released at various times during the day and set up by our CCG for this very reason however again they are limited.

I am sorry you felt the GP dismissed you and would like to assure you this would never be their intention, however as you are anonymous I am able to give you an informed response. I am aware that sometimes the clinicians run behind time, this is noted on the entrance board in reception to make patients aware, unfortunately sometimes a patient will need a little longer then the allotted time and we ask for your understanding with this.
