"elderly parents"

About: Rise Park Surgery

My mother is 80yrs old and a full time carer for my dad who has vascular dementia

The reason I can not leave a positive review is that the system is broken when a person my mothers age can not be seen within a week. Triage and other systems in place are in my opinion a waste of appointment time.

Maybe you should look at holding drop in sessions like you do for new born babies for the elderly or for Carers

There has to be a better way!

I'm really sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the triage system we have in place.

We find that generally this system works very well for the majority of our patients however we do appreciate that it doesn't work well for all and so we do have an alternate system in place for these people following consultation with their GP.

We will certainly investigate the idea of a drop in session for carers/elderly so thank you for your suggestion.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss this further.

Regards,

Jo Hynes
