It is my first child, no first experience.

So far, so good, all midwifes are really nice

-> except one 🙂

I was a bit "Shocked" when one of the midwifes after my arrival told me I'm not meant to use the plugs behind my bed to charge my phone

I am glad to hear that you have found our midwifery team to be really nice. Your experience is important to us as we always strive to pride compassionate care. I will share your comments with the team.

I am sorry if you were caused any distress when you were asked not to plug your phone in. The reason you were asked to remove your phone is because all the electrical equipment has to be electrically tested before use in the hospital. There have been some instances where there have been small electrical fires on our wards due to mobile phone chargers.
