"The department has always looked after me"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

Wonderful triage unit. I have contacted the department a few times due to less fetal movement they have always looked after me and let me go home reassured.

Just waiting for a doctor is a long process, been about 4 hours still waiting to get induced. As I have preeclampsia . Wish they would always have a doctor on the ward.

I'm glad you feel reassured when you are feeling something is not quite right, that's good to hear. I'm really sorry you may have to wait for a doctor, unfortunately they do cover a number of areas in obstetrics and have to prioritise their workload, this obviously means that some ladies may have to wait longer than other is they are dealing with an emergency or someone more urgent, but that doesn't mean you are any less important to us, keep smiling and bear with us.:-)
