Yesterday I was discharged from Constantine ward after having right knee surgery .
From the moment I stepped onto the ward
I was treated with care, kindness ,respect and dignity by a staff nurse.
I was a patient of an orthopaedic consultant who is amazing , I was extremely anxious and both the consultant and the anaesthetist both treated me with respect kindness abd put me at
The staff I met in the anaesthetic room were kind and compassionate. I am a nervous wreck at the thought of being put to sleep and not waking up !
When I did wake up in the recovery suite I was cared for by two lovely nurses sorry I can’t remember your names
(I blame the drugs ??) . You were so kind nothing was to much trouble , I spent an hour with you in the recovery suite and the care and attention was exemplary .
During my stay I met so many staff that put me at ease, the physiotherapists. The lovely porter that escorted me to theatre and distracted me when I was having a nervous wobble. A member of staff who made a lovely cup of tea, a Staff Nurse (agency nurse) who took my blood pressure and checked on me regularly.
Thank you ALL so much for making my stay a positive experience ??
"Fantastic care"
