"Very unhelpful male receptionist"

About: Grange Medicare - Middleton Park

I called the surgery today at 10:00 requesting a appointment to see the doctor for a review of my medication in which I was told to do so by the pharmacist .I was told by a very abrupt male receptionist that I could see the nurse or wait till 29th August to see a doctor, when I explained that I needed to see a doctor because I have a growth on my skin that has become discoloured and I have had skin cancer in the past he suggested I go down to St Georges Middleton.I have been told by the GP that any change I should go and see them I am of the understanding that this is a minor injuries clinic and not a cancer referral centre!!!!

I fully appreciate the staff shortages and how over stretched the NHS is but this kind of passing the buck behaviour is disgraceful has I don't consider myself a time waster but when I need to see a doctor I'm made to feel stupid by explaining my symptoms to a receptionist who hasn't the time or patience to even pretend to be interested

Dear Patient

Thankyou for bringing this to our attention, I recognise this was put on almost a year ago, however I would be very keen to investigate this isolated incident in more detail.

I would be most grateful if you could call the surgery with your details so I can ensure no patients are offered this advice going forward.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course

Kind Regards

Tracy Lindsay
