"Emergency visit to A&E"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Cardiology

After visiting my GP It was necessary to call an Ambulance which arrived in 15 minutes .The Paramedic ladies explained fully what was happening. I had complete Heart block. Was taken to resus and stabllised and seen by a Doctor who sent me to Claydon ward. The consultant came and advised I would need a pacemaker and a temporary

one was fitted on the 2nd and a Pacemaker on the 3rd. At all stages everyone was efficient, helpful kind and caring .As I had never had a heart condition this was all quite frightening but the Nurses and Doctors were so kind. The consultant who performed the Pacemaker op visited me 5 times and carefully explained each step of the procedure. It was very reassuring.

I had many tests done and cannot fault their actions when I needed them the most. I was able to leave on the 5th. Thank you Ipswich Hospital.
