"Borders Crisis Team, GP and South Team"

About: Borders Community Services / Borders Crisis Team Hawick Community Hospital

(as a service user),

I met with my GP to talk about my mental health and the extreme reaction I was having to a stressful situation. My GP contacted the Crisis team who were on to it immediately. The team were wonderful as was (and still is) my GP. No waiting time. Everyone involved in my care swung into action to help me and the support I received was first class. I was kept fully informed and involved in my care plans including discussions around medication and short and longer term plans. The various services I saw worked well together which was so helpful. I didn’t keep having to repeat my story over and over again. I have been offered a range of supports from CBT to counselling to help my longer term recovery so I haven’t just been ‘let go’.

Dear Travellight

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback, it really helps us to improve where we can and to make sure we keep doing the things that work.

I'm am so pleased that your GP and mental health services worked well together to provide you with a timely and helpful service. Communication is so important and I am delighted that staff have communicated well because it has contributed to a positive experience for you.

It is good to hear that you have longer term supports in place and I wish you all the best in your ongoing recovery.

Best Wishes

Kate Crawford

Team Manager
