"My wife's heart attack"

About: London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Whipps Cross University Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My wife was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital with a suspected heart attack last week. The service from the first responding paramedic, the ambulance paramedics and the doctor and staff assigned to my wife was brilliant and fortunately saw her safely through the day with compassion and professionalism. However the toilets were disgusting, with urine on the floor blood stained tissues on the sink and used tissues strewn over the floor with the bin overflowing. (Photos if you're interested)This email is not to complain but to praise your good side and to try and improve the bad side of our visit.

Thank you for taking time to contact us with feedback. We appreciate that this must have been a very difficult time for you and your wife. We are therefore pleased with your comments about staff upholding the values of the NHS and of Barts Health of compassion and professionalism. We value your feedback as it helps us improve our services. We are sorry that the state of the toilet facilities did not meet our high standard of cleanliness, we will pass on your comments about the toilets to the relevant team for improvement.

Once again thank you for the feedback

Kind regards
