"Fast & Efficient"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency

Attending here on a summer Saturday afternoon expecting to wait for hours. The unit is undergoing some building work but despite that the staff were efficient and professional, although it does seem that I should have been given a copy of the paperwork as its proving difficult to make an appointment in the fracture clinic back home without it!

On the plus side I seen triaged, x-rayed and diagnosed and out in less than 2 hours.

Thank you for sharing feedback from your visit to the Emergency Department (ED) at the North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) and I am sorry that you had cause to need the services.

I am glad you were triaged, x-rayed and diagnosed in a timely manner; however I would like to apologise that you were not given a copy of the necessary paperwork to make an appointment in the fracture clinic near where you live.

If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) at the NDDH on either 01271 314090 or via email ndht.pals@nhs.net

I have forwarded on your comments to the Manager of the ED where they will be gratefully received and shared with staff.

Kind regards

Jayne
