"Desperately understaffed"

About: Western Eye Hospital

The doctor I saw was very pleasant and thorough but I was waiting for almost five hours. The drops given to dilate my pupils had worn out and had to be done again meaning an extra 20 minutes.

Not one nurse said ‘sorry about the wait’ or similar. There were two nurses the triage receptionist and one doctor for a large room of people. Can they really not have two doctors on a busy Saturday? They didn’t need two nurses as far as I could see.

On a previous busy night a couple of years ago I waited three hours.
