About: Royal Free Hospital / Gynaecology

I visited on 10th July at 9:20 for a gestational diabetes test, the first nurse I saw took my bloods and gave me the glucose drink which was fine. She was lovely.

I can back at 11.40 to have my bloods taken again and this time a different nurse took my bloods. She made me very uncomfortable, she was unfriendly and then when she was taking my bloods she didn’t care. She twisted the needle in all directions while it was in my arm, even up and down and never once apologising. Now on 15th of July, a whole 5 days later I’m still bruised in the same spot. This has been so sore all week. My partner was not impressed nor was I and now we are very annoyed that I’m still feeling the effects of this simple blood test.

Dear Bola

Thank you for taking time to leave a review; I am really sorry for your experience of the second nurse.

On the basis on the review I cannot comment on what happened, however, staff are trained and expected to be professional and respectful - you do not report this and for this I am sorry.

Kind Regards

Richard
