"Primary Care at Warrington"

I recently visited Warrington A& E with a recurrence of an issue I have with one of my eyes. It was a Sunday and so the Opthalmagy department was closed but I knew I needed to see someone as soon as possible. On arriving at A& E I was seen by the triage nurse who was very helpful, and she was able to get me to see the doctor in the new Primary Care unit immediately. After a quick chat with the doctor and 1 phone call I was taken straight to see the on call ophthalmic doctor and so the wait time was greatly reduced and also I wasn’t in the way of people with more serious or different urgent issues. In my opinion the addidtion of this Primary Care unit is a fantastic idea and will hopefully really help the A& E department. Thank you
