I just wanted to highlight how friendly and accommodating the staff at Croydon University Hospital are. I had to accompany my mother who is disabled, she requires wheel chair assistance. I currently do not drive and as such met my mum for her appointment on my bicycle. I like to take my bike with me wherever I go as there have been a spate of thefts of cycles from Croydon North.
In order for my mum to leave the hospital I needed the staff at reception to apply some discretion and watch my bike so that I could take her from outpatients in a wheel chair as the porters were all engaged. The warmth an understanding shown by the staff really touched me and allowed my mum to get home without hinderance. She was able to meet he return transport efficiently, because staff were prepared to adjust standard operating procedure to accommodate my need.
My mother and I felt valued by the trust and really cared for. The ladies responsible for this excellent level of service should be commended for their cheerful approach to life working at the hospital, they really cheered my mother and I up, in what has been a difficult time for the family overall.
"Great Reception Team - 11/7/2018 - Out Patient..."
