I went this morning to the walk in radiology clinic with my 2 years old daughter.
I didn't have anybody to look after her and she was not allowed in the x-ray room. It is commom sense that you can't bring a child to a x-ray room but I went straight from the doctors appointment in Ware and didn't think of it.
It was a long walk under the sun to get to the hospital and I was very uppset for a second to think I would have to arrange childcare and return another day.
But a member of staff ( I can not mention the name or gender because of NHS review policy) immediatly offered to look after my child during my exam.
I want to say a big thank you for the kind act.
I think people who work in healthcare must have emphaty but we know that is not always what happens.
I wish everyone is luck to find staff members like the one I met today that when seeing a mother in distress doesn't think twice before helping.
Thank you again!
"Very positive experience"
