"Sadly lacking"

About: Churchfields Medical Practice

I am diabetic and am very disappointed with the level of diabetic care offered here. I have asked several times for more support and none has been forthcoming. There is nothing beyond a yearly assessment offered, no diabetic clinic and, as far as I am aware, no diabetic specialist. it is extremely difficult to get an appointment with a GP, especially since they now only offer appointments a week in advance and I work full time. I am lucky in that I have not needed to see a GP other than my yearly check ups with the Practice nurse. I feel the low scoring in the patient satisfaction survey is realistic for this surgery. Needless to say I am considering my options.

Thank you for your comment.

I think it would be good if you could get in touch with Donnah or Gosia, so we could look into this further.

We do have specialist diabetic nurse who works at the side of our Practice Nurses and also our Practice Pharmacist Siara who specialises in diabetes.

We appreciate that you can't always see a GP but there're other options that can help with your diabetes care that the practice offers.
