The care our friend received when recently a patient in Shawford ward with terminal cancer was completely outstanding, as was the care of us visitors. Our friend was treated with the utmost respect, she was consulted about her care and all her wishes were taken into account. Proposed treatment and interventions were explained carefully to her and she was given plenty of time to ask questions.
She was told she was dying, when she asked, with the utmost compassion. her needs were always met quickly, efficiently and kindly. The palliative care she received was excellent and she was kept comfortable, out of pain and without anxiety right up until her death.
"outstanding care"
