"Shabby A+E"

Recently spent the early hours in A+E, not impressive. Dirty litter covered floor. The receptionist looked miserable. Even some of the nursing were pretty cheerless. At least the Consultant and the Radiographer were reasonably cheerful.  Visiting the toilets was also an 'experience' when I complained about the disgusting state of them I was told there was a lack of cleaners? I believe it had been busy which may account for some  of the uncleanly look of the place, but cleaners should be able to be deployed to clean as required in such an area. Even if people did want to use a litter bin, I saw no sign of one in the waiting area.

The whole area had a cheerless shabby unwelcoming appearance, they say it is 'grim oop north' but my goodness we have some far better looking and cleaner A+E / hospital areas.
