I have been waiting for 10 weeks to get my smear test results. I was told 6-8 weeks...but I feel this is ridiculous. I thought 2 weeks was the standard

We apologise for the delay in receiving cytology results. Unfortunately there is a national shortage of screeners which falls out of the control of general practice. We receive regular updates from the Data Officer of the Cytology Department and yesterday they advised again that they are experiencing up to 10 week delays and presently are testing samples dated May 2018.
