My son required to attend the BGH in April 2018 for simple dental day treatment at the BGH, what was complicated was that whilst he was receiving dental treatment under general anaesthetic I had agreed with the medical team that support him that he would also receive a number of other simple medical procedures ie a blood tests and a inoculation both of which because of his learning difficulties could not take place when he was awake.
Without the amazing support and coordination of the paediatric team including Dr Ducan and Dr Euason and Renal nurse Mandy the coordinated plan to ensure my son had treatment under anaesthetic which was to ensure least distress to him but allow the needed procedures to take place could not have happened on the day he attended the BGH.
Of course the amazing pharmacy team at the BGH also played a huge part in " hunting " down the very scarce vaccination but they managed to locate the vaccination he needed. Dr Kasi and her dental team were also patient and seen the importance of my son receiving dental treatment but also in other procedures being carried out as well.
