"Mental Health Clinic"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I read that my local mental health clinic has moved out of town, in the local news paper. I saw my CPN last week and they made no mention of this move.

I am sick with worry now because I read the previous post and answer about this topic and I will have the same problem. There is no way I can get out to the Point and I have phoned all the bus companies and they do not go out there except for the buses the other person mentioned. I don't know who told you that call connect buses will take people there because I am registered with them and they will not take me out to the Vets that is at The Point. They are not allowed to take passengers in around the same town - they only have a licence to go from one town to another. I phoned to double check just now and they are not allowed to pick me up in Sleaford and take me to the Point. How can I get there - it is all right saying you are having days to discuss this but all I want to know is how I will get there. Can't afford a taxi.

Surely you must have looked into this before deciding to move the clinic so can you please tell me how to get there.

Thank you for raising your concerns through Patient Opinion. We have been aware from a number of sources that people are concerned about the move. We have established that there has been some conflicting information about what transport is available which is why we needed time to verify this as this is the crux of the problem for most people as the actual move to improved premises is very welcome. We can now confirm that the public consultation regarding the relocation of the Mental Health Services based at The Willows will be open to members of the public who are invited to attend a drop in session to discuss any concerns they may have about the move. These will take place on:

Tuesday 22 November 2011, 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Thursday 24 November 2011, 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

These will be held at The Source, Southgate, Sleaford, Lincs, NG34 7RY

We hope that you will be able to attend.
