"Hysteroscopy & Laperoscopy"

I received outstanding service from my first ultrasound through to surgery. I was petrified but the care and support was exemplary. I was offered a cancellation appointment for my operation and this came through after a week and provided enough notice for me to sort out my home life and work both pre and post op. I was the final appointment of the day and the staff kept me informed and were courteous throughout although they had worked a very long day. I gave the surgeon the option of putting off my operation as he and his staff were running very late due to the care of others but he insisted on going ahead. The Anaesthetist and her team put me at ease immediately and made the experience a good one. The porters however do need to take better care as on the way to theatre I was hit in the head by a bed coming in the other direction and when he moved it he hit me again!! I joked that I'd go to sleep knocked out and I certainly had a bump on my head the next day!!! The staff were caring when I awoke and explained the procedure to me and provided the aftercare notes and pain relief. They did forget to sign me off work so I am having to go to my GP. I had my supper [Good choice even at 10pm] and opted to go home as I knew they were short of beds in recovery and I snore. Only downside is that the histology results take so long to come back from the consultants. I called my GP result team after 2 weeks and they mentioned a 4-6 week wait at the moment which if you are a worrier isn't so good. Huge thanks to all staff for their kindness and attention to detail throughout, This was a chance find following a basic medication check. I consider myself very fortunate and I am extremely grateful to you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
