The appointment letter came within a few days of my seeing my GP, and the appointment was just over a week later, although it was not an "urgent" one.
I arrived a little early on the day for an 8:30 appointment and wasn't initially sure that the unit was yet open, as there were no signs of life and the door was locked initially. However, the ultrasonographer opened up and ended up seeing me early, so I was out again by 8:35.
I've had many such scans over the years at different sites/hospitals, and can say that this was one of the easier ones. I was treated with respect, dignity, made comfortable, and was able to see a screen to view what the sonographer was viewing.
She was clear in what would happen next with the results, and overall this was a good experience.
