"Experience using the Urology Department"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital / Urology

I visited the Urology Department today with my Dad who has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. What an amazing experience. We were seen promptly by staff who all introduced themselves. The staff went out of their way to be respectful and caring. We were given information clearly and given time to ask questions. We were given information to take away and a point of contact if we have concerns. We know what the care plan is and the timelines to be used. It really was first class. The experience today mirrors all the care and treatment we have received from this department since diagnosis. A huge thank you to you all.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such kind and thoughtful feedback about the care provided to your dad by the Urology Department at Eastbourne District General Hospital; it really is very much appreciated. The Trust strives to provide a high standard of care and treatment for all patients, and it is therefore reassuring to learn this has been his experience, and that of his family; this is incredibly important given the diagnosis he has received, and we are pleased to note that your dad’s care plan and the timelines involved have been shared with him. We will share your feedback with staff in the Urology Department, as they will be very pleased to read the care they provide is valued and appreciated.

We wish your dad all the very best with his ongoing care and treatment and for his future good health, and hope that he, you and all your family receive the support, compassion, care and guidance you need at this worrying time.
