"A & E visit"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital / Accident and emergency

I went to A&E for an infected finger (sent there after speaking to 111) Luckily it wasn't busy so I was seen quickly. Had it been the previous day there would have been a 5 hour wait (blame the government for under funding). Whilst I thought my finger would have been a minor issue, the infection was spreading down my arm so they sent me on to John Radcliffe hospital which resulted in an overnight stay on antibiotics. Had they not told me to go there I feel the outcome may not have been so good. Hopefully the RBH or West Berks will have a plastics department there in the near future to save the travel to Oxford. Well done to all our hard working NHS staff and lets hope the NHS is still here in the future and not privatised.
