I visited with my mother with ? TIA/ stroke and received a much better response than would have been led to believe by the general poor public image of the service.
Yes, we had a wait but staff were clearly constantly having to reprioritise given the unremitting blue light arrivals and my mum had blood tests, EC G and brain scan and was regularly checked for comfort during the 6 hours she was there.
The hospital seems to me to be under significant pressure and to require clear and consistent leadership to obtain either the necessary resources or to reduce the geographical area served. Staff, as usual , were struggling to deliver excellent care in spite of trying circumstances. Thank you
