"Outstanding care in Ward 64"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Spinal injuries unit

(as the patient),

I was recently diagnosed with a tumour on the pituitary gland that was causing problems with my vision. Over the course of a few weeks I had appointments with a consultant ophthalmologist, neurosurgeon and ENT surgeon, as well as various scans and tests.

Surgery was carried out in June and I was taken to Ward 64 after my surgery where I remained till discharge 8 days later.

Throughout my treatment and stay I was extremely well cared for by both medical, nursing and support staff. I cannot praise them highly enough for their kindness and care.

Happy 70th birthday NHS, and thank God for all who work in it!
